¡Bienvenidos!

Ciudad De Los Sueños

By: Rahim Mason

Just as you two land you take notice of quite the interesting and  perfectly peculiar palm trees. Gloria, with assured confidence says "These perfectly peculiar plants are called Los Sombrero Palmas, or the sombrero palms in English," after a brief pause to trot into the shade she continues, "They're absotively perfect for the hot days here, they give the best and breeziest shade and are perfect for napping." Speaking of napping, look who's over there snoozing, it's Conejo Chulo. He's a cool bunny, not a friend to everyone, yet well known all over Dreamland. As Glo makes her way over to the resting rabbit she says "I've only seen him a few times, but he's been a cool bunny, and he has the cutest little sunglasses. But never ever ever call him cute, he doesn't like it at all," Glo chuckles then says "I think he has cute little bunny syndrome."

Upon approach Glo clears her throat "-AHEM- buenas tardes, Senor Chulo. I hope I'm not interrupting anything but I have a very special someone here for you to meet." The cool bunny opens one eye for a wink, then opens both and with slight shock and hops to his little rabbit feet. "Ay dios mio," Conejo Chulo says "Es un gran placer conocerte, me llamo es Conejo Chulo." "Mr. Chulo, how about some English for the Princess," Glo says  with some assertiveness." "Ah lo siento mi Princesa," he clears his throat, "What I meant was, it's a great pleasure to meet you, my name is Conejo Chulo." As he proudly takes a cute little bow, he holds your hand gently and places a soft little rabbit kiss on it.

Then he says "Princesa, you are more beautiful than the sun is bright, he estado esperando ansiosamente con mucho interés, sorry -AHEM- I have been anxiously awaiting with much interest. I heard you'd be coming but I had no idea it would be so soon, if I'd known I would have brought more carrots." Then Conejo Chulo turns his attention to Gloria, "As for the lovely lady in laven--," Glo cuts him short "I gots no time  for the flattery Mr. Chulo, I figured since you had time to nap then maybe you wouldn't mind showing the Princess around this lovely enclave." Conejo Chulo replies " Oh ciertamente, I would be honored to have the opportunity to show you two around. And please, never forget I'm always willing to lend a paw in assistance." Glo nods in approval, "Well thank you, shall we get started?" As Gloria begins to slowly trot Conejo Chulo hops up into the saddle with you and says "Well Princess, this beautiful beach where you've landed is called La Playa de Sombrero Palmas, which means the beach of sombrero palms." Hey my little beauty queen, can you say La Playa de Sombrero Palmas, give it a try.

Conejo Chulo, pleased with your attempt, goes on to say "Ahh, si Princesa, esta bien. That's good. Here in our beautiful enclave, Spanish is the language of the land and you'll certainly come across some interesting inhabitants," Conejo Chulo takes a moment to bite the carrot from his shirt pocket then offers you a bite, "But I guess I'll start with myself. I'm just a bunny from a humble rabbit hole that wanted to see more than one enclave. Of course I come from a big family, myself being the fourth of seven from my litter, pero mis padres -but my parents- have another litter on the way, orale!" Conejo Chulo exclaims as his little rabbit hand slaps his little rabbit forehead. After taking another  bite from the pocket carrot he pulls another from the pocket on his shorts, whistles for Gloria's attention, then tosses it to her and she catches it in her mouth and chomps away. Mr. Chulo goes on to say "To your left there is Arboleda Bailando, which means Dancing Grove in Spanish. The people here dance like there's no tomorrow and til their toes can do no more wiggling, pero cuidado -but be careful- Princess because once you're all danced out and tired, Senor Siniestro y Secuaces like to sneak and steal your danced out dancing shoes!" Now that's absolutely absurd! I wonder why anyone would want to steal stinky sweaty danced out dancing shoes. Gloria thinks for a moment, "Hmm, maybe he drains the stink and sweat out to make his own line of cologne," after a brief moment and whinny she adds "He'd probably call it, El Hedor -the stench." Conejo Chulo breaks out hysterical laughter then says "Good one Ms. Glo, that's hilarious. The Stench, so clever."

When Conejo Chulo calms down from his riot of laughter he points out the next site of the enclave, "Aqui tenemos, here we have Fiesta Lane. The party's never over for them. They even do a pinata march where everyone gets a whack of any pinata of their choosing." Glo stops for a moment, "Hey what about--" "Yes Ms. Glo, I was saving the best for last but I certainly couldn't forget Costa Rica Isle, where I was born and raised. Down Costa Rica Isle you'll find some of the most beautifully breath-taking views and landscapes. There's simply nothing like it," Mr. Chulo says with a proud glow and smile. As the trio continues on the path through the beach Conejo Chulo gets back to his tour guide duty, "Aquí en la derecha tenemos -ahem- what i mean to say is, here on the right we have the place I call home, Pueblo De Dulces Suenos or in English, Sweet Dreams Village."

After a faint coy sigh, Conejo Chulo gathers his breath and says "Mi Princesa preciosa, ha sido una gran alegría regalarte un gran recorrido por La Ciudad De Los Sueños," Conejo Chulo puts his little rabbit hand on his little rabbit forehead and says "-Ahem- What I mean to say is, my beautiful Princess, its has been a grand joy to give you a tour of The City of Dreams. Maybe next time you're here we can seek out the hot fudge blaster, Nina told me a little bit about it but it's top secret shhh." He then adds "Mi spero vi piaccia Sogno Sistina. That means I hope you enjoy Sistine Dream, in Italian. Hasta Luego Princess." You give Conejo Chulo a hug and tell him "Gracias," which means thank you in Spanish.

After Gloria gives Mr. Chulo his final farewell she ponies up for take off, with a five second gallop of her shimmery silver hooves and five strong shimmery flaps of her wings you're back in Dreamland atmosphere. After a few minutes of flight Gloria lets out a frustrated grunt, "Ugh, well dangblanget," Gloria, always sure to be mindful of her words, "I just absotively can't stand those apple juice rain clouds. I promise they are the bane of my existence!" Not certain why, you ask "Gloria, what's so bad about apple juice rain clouds?" I happen to like apple juice, don't you Princess? I thought you might, but enough with that let's try to understand Gloria's plight. Go on Ms. Glo. "There the worst because apple juice rain clouds equal apple juice rain! And that's totally tragically and tumultuously terrible because," she pauses for dramatic effect, "I just got my fur washed, pressed and conditioned before your arrival." Now, having a better understanding of Gloria's plight, what do you think she should do? Hmm maybe she should fly really really fast through the rain so you two don't get too wet. "Hey Princess, hold on tight, duck your head down and answer something for me," Gloria requests. You do as Glo says, then you ask her "What's the question?" She chuckles and says "What sound does a zipper make?" -ZIPPP- and just like that Gloria zipped right through the clouds raining apple juice so fast that she was only touched by five drops of apple juice rain.
